Our Creative Journey

There are two things that have always been clear to me.

1. I want to be a photographer for the rest of my life.

2. I want to run my own business.

Now merging those two and creating the life of my dreams has been and forever will be, my personal journey. I struggle and fall short every. single. day. Some days I feel like I am running out of breath while everyone else is pacing by me gracefully doing hair flips. What I find most challenging for me on a daily basis is finding a balance between being a mom, wife, keep up my home and running my own business. As a woman I feel the presence in my heart and soul of all the women in history who have given their passion a voice and had the courage to be themselves. I feel so passionately that I can not let them down.

It is very hard for me to look over at my sink FULL of dishes, the pile of clothes on my floor, the beds unmade and not feel guilty when all that screams in my head is GET A HOUSEKEEPER YOU NEED HELP! I know, my friends that it is a step I have to take to make more time for I don't knowwww blogging, scouting for new locations, attending business summits, just to name a few. I am getting to it ;-)

In my life journey of being an entrepreneur I know some days I am hard on myself for not completing tasks on time. I know this is JUST the beginning for me but I will tell you this. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE IN THIS WORLD I WOULD RATHER BE DOING! I wake up in the middle of the night wishing it was morning to start working. My heart BLOWS up when I meet a new family and I know that I am sharing with them 37 years of myself in the making. I appreciate SOOO much the people that I have met, the WOMEN in my life that pour knowledge, love, encouragement, DAILY!  All the moms and women I see HUSTLIN' every. single. day. to create their own dreams is so inspiring to me. I am SO grateful for this journey. We are all in this together.

Here are a few things I have hanging on the wall on top of my computer that I look at every day.

Happy Mother's Day to all my HUSTLIN' mommas, the Grandma's who passed it on to us, our great Grandmother's helping us from heaven and to every other kind of momma.
